Tutor training and teaching content

For potential tutors, it’s a plus if you already have teaching experience! If you don’t, but we believe you have potential, we will train you on an individual basis until we become confident in your teaching. While we have some suggestions for teaching style, we trust and encourage each tutor to bring their individual talents, strengths and experience to the sessions. As long as the students successfully grow and improve, we can roll with it.

For some subjects, we also provide example resources. We do not currently have a syllabus or course of our own yet, and can for example use the student’s exam syllabi, existing online notes/resources or past papers in our teaching.

Our tutor selection process

At the core of our tutor selection process is the aim to mobilize those who believe in supporting the intellectual and personal growth of students.

Many of our tutors are currently studying at, or have graduated from, top universities worldwide and come from international backgrounds. All are fluent English speakers and multilingual. We have tutors of multiple nationalities, in different time zones, which means Naproud Academy can accommodate students worldwide.

We also have several tutors who have achieved truly exceptional results in their own academic careers. High grades and awards are evidence of a person’s grit and determination, and must be recognized as such. However, we consider applicants from a range of academic backgrounds. We believe that, firstly, your past sets no limitation on your future. Secondly, the best teachers were not always the top students, but rather those who can put themselves in the shoes of those who need support. The most important thing, for all tutors, is to bring sincere enthusiasm and dedication to their job of helping students grow.

Lastly, we will not tolerate any discrimination or prejudice against any races, genders, beliefs and backgrounds in any shape or form. Above all, we ask for all tutors and students to treat each other with kindness in all interactions.
